My professional training is person-centred counselling and I tend towards a receptive, empathic and gentle approach. I would like to assist you on your journey towards your solution as if I am your co-pilot sitting beside you.

The objective is that you discover “peace” in your mind, and the client and counsellor relationship is paramount.

Counselling can focus on a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, bereavement, self-esteem, trauma, abuse to name a few.

Being Japanese, my experience has been across cultures by necessity, and I am fascinated to work with clients who have different cultural backgrounds to the majority.

That said, I am a fluent speakers and my counselling it for everybody!

I offer a heart to heart honest counselling experience which I will endeavour to make cordial and comfortable. I speak the same language as you.

I was born in Tokyo, Japan. I had a commercial career for more than a decade. I decided to step out from my comfort zone and re-establish myself from scratch by moving to the UK. Since moving I have been involved in various aspects of the care sector including counselling. I also teach at a Japanese school.

I studied counselling psychology at University of Wolverhampton and qualified as a counsellor after finishing an MSc in counselling psychology at Keele University. I have worked at Sandycroft in Worcester and Asian Family Counselling in Birmingham. I am now a volunteer counsellor at Motherwell in Crewe, Cheshire.

In my free time I enjoy outdoor sports including wild swimming, activities with my dogs, cooking, propagating house plants and reading.
